Roaming Roosters Farm Shop approached me to create an inviting and comfortable shopping experience in their brand new farm shop. The shop is a step onwards from the traditional butchery that has been in the family for many years so I wanted to maintain a feeling of traditional Britishness in the shop but also maintaining a clean inviting feel.
The Olde Spot Bistro is located in the same building as the Roaming Roosters farm shop but presents a very different experience, whilst needing to be comfortable and approachable it is also about reconnecting with the surroundings of the working farm and remembering that you are very much involved in the industry by eating food grown and reared in the surrounding fields. I wanted to create a distressed and rustic feel but without being too obvious but also bring bright modern colours into the space to add a vibrancy that reflects the vision of the entire Mellin family who own and run the whole Olde Spot and Roaming Roosters complex.
This project included specifying furniture, lighting, tiles, paint colours, accessories, wall coverings, floor coverings, blinds, doors, furniture positioning and commissioning artwork. I worked very closely with all aspects of the project where possible being on site as the project progressed and detailing changes where necessary.
The Live Like the Boy interior design service is available across the North West of England from a base in Colne, Lancashire. Interior Design Colne Lancashire.
