Live Like the Boy is about the consciousness of style in our lives.
Run solely by Ashley Sutcliffe (me, the boy) Live Like the Boy aims to pull together ideas and sources of information in a way that best represents my inherent sense of style. I have always been style conscious both in terms of fashion and my own personal appearance but more prevalantly and prolifically in my home styling and retail design, as well as visual marketing and retail display.
I have over 15 years of experience working in retail and customer service and 10 years of design training to Masters level. Having worked for lighting, furniture and home accessory retailers I have developed a knack for being able to source and provide the perfect items to complement or create the perfect look or design for any taste.
I am also known to many under the pseudonym ‘knitboy’ which is a name I picked up when specialising in knitted textiles when I studied on the BA(hons) Textile Crafts course. I went on then to teach knit as a part time lecturer on the Textile Crafts course and also the Costume with textiles course at the university of huddersfield as well as holding a part-time lecturing role at Nelson & Colne College
I generally work in a design and consultation capacity, helping and advising on all aspects of design. While colour and pattern are my over-riding passion, I can literally turn my hand to any kind of interior style, I am very thorough in my research and development of an interior scheme and like to liaise closely with any client.
Passionate about social media, an avid blogger, tweeter and facebook advocate I can also help give your business the prominence it deserves through spotlight features or by assisting you in your social media campaigns, just get in touch!
