Kitchen Shelf Kollection

I LOVE collections of things, this little collection (ignore the dust) has grown over the last year or so, the shelf sits above my kitchen sink and has become the main feature of the room. Collections only really work in a design sense when they are curated, when the items are selected and thoughtfully positioned to create an overall look that compliments and creates intrigue in each constituent part of the collection. The large clock was bought in Habitat around 6 years ago, and lived in another house previously but fit perfectly when I decided to go for red on the kitchen walls (red stimulates appetite!) The humorous Adam & Eve style tray was bought from Radiance in Hebden Bridge, the Japanese man is actually a cute little bento box that I found in the food section of Selfridges and just had to have but its a bit small for my sized lunch portions. Other great pieces here include the iconic Anna G corkscrew, a vintage russian mantel clock, a vintage scale, a Carltonware Beefeater moneybox, a Catherine Holme coffee pot with ‘lotus pattern’ and also a pair of dual wall Bodum mugs that are perfectly sized for a cup of green tea in the afternoon. Do you have a collection?
