New products for 2012 from Normann Copenhagen
I’m quite well acquainted with the standard range of products from Normann Copenhagen, simple Scandinavian sophistication adds a calmness to a room that you can rarely get any other way. Neutral finishes and colour palettes that avoid complication in choosing (they all work well together) make for a brand that is always at hand when you are in need of anything for your home. For the latter end of 2012 Normann Copenhagen have launched a range of new products that display the growing design prowess of a very well directed company.
Lighting collections have become synonymous with the brand, you’d be hard pushed to find a middle class home that doesn’t have an artichoke inspired Norm 69 light fitting, and the new range continues that theme. The Hello floor lamp is my favourite, a solid stem with a substantial sized lamp at its head, the Hello floorlamp is not a light that shies away from its function or presence in the room, the glossy grey or white colour is flashy enough to make the lamp entirely sophisticated.
The new Onkel sofa is one of the biggest pieces Normann Copenhagen have ever made and its an absolute triumph, with obvious ‘Chesterfield’ buttoned in style and melange fabric with a felt like appearance it has comfort written allover it like a toddler’s hand prints on clean glass.
I am going to finish this post with a mad confession, the following image has given me more pleasure than anything else in the past month, I yearn for my life to resemble what is going on in this image. The simple Toj clothes rack is complimented by cardboard boxes, beautifully elegant and simple clothes but above all, how organised is this person?! If I didn’t think organisation would kill my creativity I would strive to live like this.
Here you can see more of the new Normann Copenhagen collection launching over the coming months.
